If your temperature is high, you will be required to have a quick health check. Vaccination certificates are usually not required, however. Hong Kong tap water is safe to drink according to World Health Organization standards, but most people in the city prefer to drink bottled water. Mineral water including major imported brands is available in supermarkets and convenience stores. Hong Kong features world class hospitals that provide outstanding care. Visitors to the emergency room at Hong Kong public hospitals are charged a set fee of HK$570 per attendance, but will always receive treatment even if they cannot pay upfront.
